Paragon FREE Interface

What I have as an interface doesn't seem to be correct.

1. I want to backup ONE DIRECTORY and this doesn't seem to allow it.
2. I wanted to get a manual and it said to get it from the application "about", which, as you can, see doesn't offer such.

I have used this before to create an "image" backup and it was quite simple, but it didn't look like this.


What might be the problem.

I've recently noticed Paragon 2014 free supports ext4 files as well as ntfs.
Does it go to the extent it can do a complete disk backup of a dual boot Windows 8.1 + Mint Rose 17.3?

Or will it have to be a sector to sector backup and restore?

I've been using Paragon since ten years on single boot Windows computers to complete satisfaction,but
never did a sector to sector restore.
I've always used Clonezilla for dual booting with Linux,but recently it failed a restore and i am looking for an...

Is it not possible to 'mount' the back up like with acronis? To look through it in an explorer way without restoring it

I created a whole disk backup of my Windows 10 to VD. When I tried to restore it, all I got was an exact duplicate of the backed up image (unrestored file). I can't boot from it and I can't access individual files. I know my lack of knowledge has created this problem, but I don't know how to fix it either. Consulting the manualhasn't worked in helping find the solution. tried to mount the image, but same results as previous effort. Trying to restore led to all sorts of problems with boot...

HDM15Pro Problem

I am somewhat disappointed with HDM 15 Pro. It has wonderful new features having to do with virtual disks and I like them but it does not seem to duplicate what it claims. It does not seem to duplicate the legacy features.

I can create pVHD and validate my backup to it, but there is no way I found to treat that pVHD as a mounted file system. While I can use the browser I am confined to using only the Paragon browser which limits my ability to check things like md5sums on files that were...

Can we trust Backup Logs?

I'm using Paragon v11 for a client who is using two hard drives to backup server data. Each week we swap drives on Friday mornings for a full backup over the weekend. Then Monday through Thursday we run differential backups on the same drive. On the next Friday we swap drives and the cycle starts again. This is done to keep one drive offsite for disaster recovery.

Looking at weekly backup logs I see successful backups for each nights differentials. Yet multiple times now when I need to...

Why am I getting this error message when I am booting into recovery media (Paragon Suite 14) that is on a usb stick built with WinPE option but not with recovery media built as linux option onto a CD?

I have a backup file LAPTOP2G.PBF which was created about 15 years ago. The size of this file is 2.1GB. I believe it was created using Paragon Drive Backup version 5.0, as this version was installed on my Windows98 desktop of that era.

If I try to open the archive using Backup & Recovery ver 14, I get a warning that the index needs to be reconstructed, then a failure.

I am able to run Drive Backup 5.0 under Win98 in a VM reproducing my old desktop environment. In this environment I can run...

hi, Ive sent numerous messages to Paragon and have got no helpful human replays since last november so Im hoping in desperation someone here may be able to shed some light on my problem.
In 2012 I downloaded Paragon NTFS for MAC OSX 9.5 so I could read my old Windows files from my MYBOOK external Hard Drive on my newly bought MAC OSX 10.7.5 LION iMac . Will Hard Disk Manager 14 wipe unallocated space, slack space and page file? Would deleted stuff remaining in these places slow down a pc or reduce its overall free space

I'm needing to do a migration from an older Windows 7 system to a new Dell Precision 3620 Windows 7.
I have built the Recovery Media on CD and am booting in UEFI mode on the new Dell.
A WINPE version of the RM hangs at "Starting Windows" - so, it does seem to "boot" but doesn't finish the install / run.
A LINUX version of the RM starts with a DriveCopy 15 blue window. A smaller black window opens on top of it. Text says Loading Linux and, on the second line it hangs at "Loading initrd"....

A couple of months ago I made a stupid mistake; I intended to use the diskpart utility from CMD from my Windows 7 boot DVD for partitioning reasons of my Windows partiton, but accidentally had my main OSX partition selected and erased it (and obviously had no complete backup of my data - stupid me!). Hi everyone,
I'm currently looking for a backup solution for a small business, which is why I went with the trial of paragon hard disk manager. Everything looks nice and so, scheduled some backup tasks (which are absolutely mandatory to run while no one is logged on the server).

However, there is a big problem here, the tasks do not run properly! I strongly suspect it has to do with the "buy now" notification - if I start the task from the GUI, it pops up, I click ok and the backup...

I have downloaded the Free Rescue Kit 14 and tried to create a bootable flash drive under Windows 7. As I understand it from reading the manual the process does not require ADIK/WAIK for use under Windows 7.

Unable to start Express Launcher

I updated from Backup and Recovery Free 2014 (10.1.21.287) to 14 (10.1.25.377) and the installation went OK and I used the program for a few minutes testing out the archives, etc. Then I hit the Express Launcher button and I received a message "Unable to start Express Launcher Can not read explauncher.ini file" and the program will not start. The file explauncher.ini is not in the Paragon Backup and Recovery 14 Free folder.
I tried Repair from Add or Remove Programs, but that didn't work. I...

Hi all, first post

Have an issue trying to recover a Paragon disk backup, receiving 11009 error when trying a restore. I'm presuming this is due to errors in the paragon source backup that was made, but am looking for confirmation as the Paragon documentation doesn't mention this error. From what i can see the Paragon file directory structure is fine, the index file, metadata and compressed backup files all appear to be ok (well they're all there and accounted for) so i dont understand why...
