Schedule Scripts

I am trying to make a scheduled script in Hard Disk manager 15 Backup and Recovery Compact. I want it to be a weekly backup and to change the file name with each backup with the format backupname_mm_dd_yyyy. I want to keep a total of the last 7 backups on file. Is this possible and if so how? Any time I have created a backup script it keeps the name of the job and it over writes my existing backup.

Scenario: I have just started to use the VD format for back ups, using HDM Suite 15, having used Paragon back up software for a number of years.

I wanted to make a VD back up of one of my external drives, a USB2 1.5Tb used to hold video files (I do quite a lot of video editing etc.) I started the process and everything ran without a hitch until something caused my computer to crash (what caused it is another story!) Need to know where file was before you can restore it?

am I right in thinking you have to know where a lost file resided in the file system in order to be able to restore it, because during the restore you have to navigate the folders, find the file, and check it to indicate you need it to be restored. What if I lose a file and cannot remember exactly what location it had been in?

Auto-mount backup partition on logon?

Greetings, is it possible that Paragon HDM will mount a partition from existing backup (.pvhd) each time Windows start? Till everything is done I'll need previous OS volume at hand. Starting HDM and mounting the image each time restrains.

I have an Asus vivotab me400c tablet with is running on 32 bit windows 8 with UEFI bios and a GPT MMC HD.
I am using both paragon backup and recovery 2013 & 2014.
I used the provided Recovery Media Builder to create a USB bootable Flash Drive.
The USB bootable Flash Drive works on my XP and Vista computers but it does work on my Asus Window 8 computer/tablet.
I am not sure if this is the issue but the USB bootable Flash Drive that is created can only be created as NSTF. I have read that the...

Hello

I would like to know please would I be able to use Backup and Recovery Free 14 Edition with a USB memorystick and create a bootable memory stick and store the windows image on the same memory stick so I can boot my PC and restore it from the same USB memory stick or would I need 2 separate usb memory sticks one for booting the pc and the other to hold the OS image? ...

Trying to create new partiton

I have 4 partitions on my hard drive. And I have more than enough disk space, 226 GB of unallocated space to create another 60 GB partition. But the software does not give me the option of creating a new one. The limit to the number of partitions I can create should be how much free unallocated space is available right ? What am I doing wrong ?

HI, any chance to delete particular backups I no more need from backup capsule? I can't find anything in UI that deletes a folder or file from it. I only can cleanup whole capsule which is not desirable.

Image Backup Speed

I have been using Macrium Reflect 5 for several years but the backup speed is so slow, it makes it so discouraging. Because of this, I am bad to not do it. I'm interested In Paragon Backup & Recovery Home. My question is, is the backup speed faster than Macrium? I have downloaded the trial version of the Home edition but before I spend hours waiting on it to backup and then find out it isn't any faster, I thought I would ask and hope there is people who have used both of them first.

paragon 15, win 10, bitlocker, P2V copy, issues

bitlocker ON, on drive C
I want to make a virtual drive of C (IT does not have to be encrypted, I just want to be able to OPERATE it as a virtual drive, in an emergency)
I've tried P2V copy, and it CRASHES, gets error message even before creation of this.
I've tried BACKUP, to make a VMDK file.
it MAKES the VMDK file, and that is MOUNTABLE AND HAS VISIBLE files inside (if I wanted to restore files)
but if I try VMware, and try to RUN the virtual drive, it states...

I'm running Paragon Backup and Recovery 14 Home version 10.1.21.287 (16.12.13 ) Home

I have scheduled a cyclic backup with one full backup and many differential backups.

I've configured backups to go to a NAS drive which I have mapped to drive N:

I have enabled linked connections:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\EnableLinkedConnections=1

The first full backup worked fine.

Subsequent differential backups fail.

The error message...

I'm trying to make a simple Virtual Disk backup of my OS disk and store it on an external USB3.0 Western Digital Passport drive. I seem to be able to create the backup folder for the VD just fine on the external drive.

I have used the embedded Recovery Media Builder 3.0 to create a bootable thumb drive for the restore. I did NOT use the advanced option to inject any extra Network or Disk drivers.

I want to test the restore process, so I booted from the Recovery Media thumb drive. It...

If I do an image should I be doing separate ones for the HDD and then another for the SSDR

Dell XPS 18 with a 500 gb HDD and a 32 GB SSDR.

Or is it ok to check the box and do them together?
Will the image restore ii I restore both together?

Also another question. I test the boot disk I made with Paragon. It worked but I was surprised to find it did not have Paragon software under programs when I booted back to win 8.1.
So if ever I need to I would have to boot from the boot...

I have had this software installed for a while, and I am about to backup my Windows 7 Install to make it easier if I don't want to keep Windows 10 when I try it soon.

I wanted to read through the manual, and that is when I realised there is little information about the version I have and no manual. Is there a manual for this software? And if not, what is the difference between this version and the standard Backup & Recovery Home 15?

If I know the difference then I can just use the manual...
